FAQ

Do you provide in person or virtual/telehealth visits?

We primarily provide in person visits, as we find it to be more therapeutically productive. However, we know virtual / telehealth visits can be convenient and at times necessary, so we offer those on a case by case basis.

What happens in our first session together?

Your first session is all about getting to know you and your unique story. We will talk about your specific symptoms or situation leading you to seek therapy and what your goals are. We’ll explore other areas that could be impacting your situation or symptoms, such as family, relationships, medical history, work, and cultural or spiritual factors. By the end of the session, your therapist will make some provisional recommendations regarding your situation, goals, and how best to move forward.

What are your fees?

The fee is $185 for a 50 minute session with Caitlin or Nicholas, and $140 for a 50 minute session with Paige. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). HSAs and FSAs can be a great way to utilize the tax advantages of these accounts and pay for care.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We do accept insurance and each provider is “In Network” with the following plans:

  • Caitlin: Aetna, United Healthcare, UMR, Optum

  • Nicholas: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, UMR, Optum

  • Paige: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield

Keep in mind that there are many other plans under the umbrella of these plans. We always recommend verifying your insurance with your insurance provider to confirm if we are in network.

What if my insurance isn’t accepted? Do you have any resources for clients without insurance?

If we are not in network with your healthcare plan, you may have coverage for mental health services on an “out of network” basis. This can help you take advantage of your current insurance and reduce costs, even though we are not in network providers for your plan.

To help, we partner with Thrizer, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits,  Thrizer will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to help you get reimbursed. Learn more here:

Please note, our goal in partnering with Thrizer is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist, we do not benefit in any way from your participation.

I want to get started. What are the next steps?

Great! We’re honored to be part of your journey.

The next step is for us to chat on the phone for 15 minutes to learn more about your needs and determine if we are going to be a good fit. The easiest way to schedule this is to click on “Schedule Appointment,” review availability, and schedule directly with Caitlin, Nicholas, or Paige.

Another option is to email us at info@orangetreepsychotherapy.com with a bit about your therapy needs and how we can best reach you. We will respond within 1 business day.
